The Man of Theodore

The house smelled like cinnamon and sweets. There were paper snowflakes hung up on the windows, plastic reindeer in the front lawn with a layer of snow resting on top of them. Images of a fat jolly man with a red coat, a long white beard were plastered on everything, from plates, plastic drinking cups, decorations and so on. It was the happiest day of the year for most; it was Christmas. The house was alive, there were warm yellow lights shining upon the living room and kitchen, there was torn wrapping paper around the christmas tree from already opened gifts. With 3 small boys running around, playing whatever game they spontaneously agreed on, any adult would surely get a stroke trying to keep up with the boys, though all of the adults were talking to one another and drinking their red wine. On the couch in the living room sat two of the mothers of the boys, the third mother off in the kitchen talking to one of the other husbands about little league basketball.
