Comparative Analysis of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), Amine Scrubbing, and Zeolites for Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) Capture

The paper has discussed the use of metal organic frameworks (MOF) and compared it with traditional methods for carbon capture.Evaluates whether MOFs may offer advantages over amine scrubbing and zeolites under specific carbon-capture conditions. The paper has discussed the advantages and disadvantages of these methods and also looks at the feasibility to implement Metal organic frameworks in the field of carbon capture in the future. In addition, the study takes into account the drawbacks of MOFs, such as their expense, durability over time and difficulties in implementing them on a broad scale. This study evaluates whether MOFs are a viable next-generation carbon capture option, and their potential contributions to the advancement of direct air capture technology. This is achieved by evaluating the benefits and drawbacks of each approach.
