The prevalence of tree nut (TN) allergies has been on the rise worldwide. Estimated values for TN prevalence vary and differ according to age, region, and the diagnostic method used, which is primarily determined by both genetic and environmental factors. This paper examined the association between TN allergy prevalence and several other factors, including socioeconomic level, urban environment, certain racial or ethnic groups, including Asian and Black populations, early allergen exposure, and rural settings. Understanding the contribution of sociodemographic and environmental factors to TN allergy is essential for guiding prevention approaches and enhancing the management of allergies globally.
