Adaptable Solar Panel Accessory for Increased Productivity

In this paper, I discussed the development of a new device designed to identify the direction of the highest light intensity. This device would help to optimize solar energy production, assisting solar panels with facing the direction that would result in the most sunlight absorbed. My design was successful on a small scale, accurately finishing each iteration of the program by pointing to the light source. Compared to solar panels without my device, I was able to generate more energy due to the increase in direct sunlight hitting the panels. While the device reached an overall success, future work can improve on reducing its size to optimize space.
